Starry Night

No chirping,no creaking

No barking,no whistling

A hushed silence descends

As the starlit sky twinkles

And the moon smiles

Brightening the night

Causing the frogs in the pond

And the birds in the woods

To look on with awe

At the radiant sight

But as the sun comes up

Full of cheer and light

The moon and her friends

Wave goodbye.
